"The Joy of Making New Flowers"
You can learn the art of daylily hybridizing.
In this program you will learn to hybridize using the daylilies in our gardens. This includes four one-on-one morning sessions of hands-on hybridizing, a beginners hybridizing kit, (this includes pollen box and labels, tweezers, pod hybridizing labels and marker), and the final product of all the seeds that develop from the crosses that are made during your hybridizing sessions.
The class is limited to six students at a cost of $125 per participant. Session dates and times are specific and limited. Rain and weather conditions can affect scheduled times and require rescheduling. Seed quantities are not guaranteed due to the unpredictability of hybridizing daylilies.
Youth ages 12-17 are also invited to sign up but an adult must remain with them during their class sessions (no additional charge for the adult).
